Beastly Ephemera of San Francisco

These bestial little pieces of sticker art, all about 5 or 6 inches high, have been showing up recently in the Mission, on Valencia Street and elsewhere, usually near ground level.  Maker unknown.  Have to say I like um.  Llama and fox the most.  They've got a certain street pathos-- a certain vulnerability, despite the muck and degradation of their circumstances.  The panda looks rather too much like someone I know--someone smarmy and self-satisfied.

Grandville, yes; Daumier, also yes.  I took the photos.
